Sonia Delaunay was a Ukrainian-French artist and key figure in the development of abstract art and the Orphism movement. Sonia and Robert Delaunay co-founded the Orphism movement, a branch of Cubism that focused on the use of vivid colors and geometric shapes to create abstract compositions. They believed that color could be the expressive element that unifies a painting. She is also referred to as the mother of abstract art. Her work included painting, textile design and scenography.

The poster is framed with a hand painted black frame with a hand silvered inner edge and white passepartout and background. Printed on heavy paper.
