Original lithographic poster with fairy like motive by Charles Lapicque for exhibition at Villan & Galanis in Paris 1965.

Charles Lapicque was a French painter known for his brightly colored depictions of landscapes and figures. Employing fragmented pictorial space, patches of color, and cursory outlines, Lapicque’s style most closely resembled that of Raoul Dufy. He was associated with several art movements, including Cubism, abstraction, and later, a personal style that combined elements of abstraction and figuration.

The poster is framed with a hand painted light green-blue frame with an organic wavy profile and light rosy passepartout and background.

H 80 x W 54 cm.
