Signed black and white lithograph from 1982 by Folmer Bendtsens titled ‘Alexandravej eftermiddag, børn med kælk‘ (Alexandravej Afternoon, Children with Sled). The work was printed in 130 copies.

Alexandravej was a street located in what was formerly Nørrebro, but is now known as Nordvest.

Folmer Bendtsen was a Danish painter who became known as the painter of the working class. In his paintings, he illustrated the life of the workers in Nørrebro, Sydhavnen and especially in the Northwest Quarter, where he was living. His works can be seen in a number of Danish museums, e.g. Statens Museum for Kunst, ARoS and Nordjylland’s Art Museum. He is also the father of Kristine Bendtsen, who is behind Bendtsens at Danas Plads 10.
