The 1988 Francis Bacon Centre Pompidou poster—titled Les années 50 (The 1950s)—is an authentic vintage exhibition poster published by the Editions du Center Pompidou in Paris.

It reproduces Bacon's iconic 1949 masterpiece Head IV which is part of the Arts Council Collection in London.

Head VI is the famous sixth and final panel of Bacon's 1949 Head series. It reinterprets Diego Velázquez’s Portrait of Pope Innocent X, isolating a screaming, cage-trapped figure. It launched Bacon’s legendary series of "screaming popes".
