Because the original manufacturer is no longer in business, any authentic Kreier silk scarf you find today is a vintage item typically dating from the 1950s through the 1980s.

The scarves were manufactured by Max Kreier AG, which was founded in 1954 in St. Gallen, Switzerland—a region globally famous for its luxury textile and embroidery industry. The company operated for over 40 years before liquidating in 1996.
