Original lithographic poster with art by Berto Lardera for exhibition at Galeire Michel Warren in Paris 1956.

Berto Lardera was an Italian sculptor who played a key role in the development of postwar abstract sculpture in Europe. Working primarily with welded iron, he moved away from traditional solid mass to create open, spatial constructions defined by line, tension, and balance.

His sculptures are composed of intersecting metal elements that extend into space, allowing void and transparency to become essential parts of the work. Through this interplay of structure and emptiness, Lardera achieved a sense of rhythm and architectural clarity. Both rigorous and dynamic, his work transforms industrial material into refined compositions that embody the spirit of modern abstraction.

Like many sculptors of his generation, he also produced drawings and works on paper, often related to his sculptural research.

The piece is framed with a hand gilded frame and is placed on a light background.
