Signed color lithograph by Folmer Bendtsen titled ‘Alexandravej med familie‘ (Alexandravej with Family). This lithograph is a special edition produced in 15 copies. Alexandravej was a street located in what was formerly Nørrebro, but is now known as Nordvest.

Folmer Bendtsen was a Danish painter who became known as the painter of the working class. In his paintings, he illustrated the life of the workers in Nørrebro, Sydhavnen and especially in the Northwest Quarter, where he was living. His works can be seen in a number of Danish museums, e.g. Statens Museum for Kunst, ARoS and Nordjylland’s Art Museum. He is also the father of Kristine Bendtsen, who is behind Bendtsens Galerie at Danas Plads 10.

The piece is framed with a hand painted light rose frame and with off white passepartout.
