The Max Ernst "Galerie du Chapitre" 1977 poster is a vintage lithographic exhibition poster created to commemorate a posthumous exhibition of the legendary Surrealist artist’s work in Paris.

The poster was produced for an exhibition held at the Galerie du Chapitre . While the poster is dated 1977, the exhibition itself bridged the end of one year and the start of the next, running from December 15, 1976, to January 15, 1977. Because Max Ernst passed away in April 1976, this event and its accompanying poster served as an early homage to his monumental career.

Framed with an antique frame in beige and green, with leaf details, placed on a light background.

H 85 x W 60 cm.
