Pierre Pallut was a French painter whose artistic journey reflects a profound exploration of painting's expressive possibilities. Pallut was largely self-taught, honing his skills through persistent practice and by working in the studios of the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris, though not formally enrolled as a student. His initial works comprised still lifes and portraits, but around 1948, Pallut underwent a significant stylistic transformation, embracing abstraction.
The piece is framed with a hand painted frame with elegant detailing, light passepartout, and is placed on a plum background.
