Original lithographic poster with artwork by Alain Clément for exhibition at Galerie Noella Gest in 1984.
Alain Clément is a French contemporary artist known for his vibrant abstract paintings and sculptural works. Born in 1941, he has played an important role in the renewal of abstraction in France from the 1970s onward. His work is characterized by bold color, dynamic form, and spatial experimentation. He treats painting as an object, shaping and cutting supports so that color and form extend into real space. His practice blurs the boundaries between painting and sculpture, transforming geometric and organic shapes into rhythmic, energetic compositions.
Color is central to his artistic language. Saturated reds, blues, yellows, and blacks interact in layered, gestural structures that feel both spontaneous and carefully constructed. While rooted in abstract traditions, his work avoids strict minimalism, instead embracing movement, sensuality, and visual intensity.
The piece is framed with an antique golden frame.
