The 1959 "Festival de Lyon - Charbonnières" poster is an original lithographic exhibition poster created to advertise a major retrospective dedicated to the avant-garde pioneers Robert and Sonia Delaunay. The exhibition ran from June to October 1959 at the Musée de Lyon (now the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon).

The event was held as a cornerstone cultural offering of the joint Festival de Lyon - Charbonnières. It celebrated the couple's monumental contributions to modern art, specifically their development of Orphism (a colorful, geometric branch of Cubism focusing on pure abstraction and simultaneous contrast).

The poster is framed with a hand painted flight blue frame with leaf details, placed on a creme - colored background.
