Envelope with ink drawing by Birkemose made for a dear friend.

Jens Birkemose was a Danish contemporary painter. He was originally a student of piano, music theory, and composition, and went on to study at the Royal Danish Academy of Art in Copenhagen and the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris. His works were inspired by the New York School of painting and are famous for their hidden shapes, some of which take a lot of effort to discover.

The piece is framed with a a wide antique silver frame (5 cm), with light passepartout, and a matching background.
