Original lithographic poster with artwork by Enrico Baj for exhibition at Galerie Creuzevault in Paris 1969.
Baj chez Picasso is a portfolio of twelve color etchings and aquatints created in 1969 by the Italian avant-garde artist Enrico Baj. Published in Paris by Galerie Creuzevault, the series pays playful homage to Pablo Picasso, reinterpreting some of his most iconic themes.
The title, which translates as “Baj at Picasso’s place,” reflects Baj’s characteristic mix of irony, admiration, and parody. Known for blending humor with social and artistic critique, Baj here engages in a dialogue with Picasso’s legacy, transforming familiar motifs through his own eccentric style.
The piece is framed with a hand painted frame in teal and black and is place on a light background.
